Salvation Then and Now
The essence of Salvation then and now, does not only mean to be saved from Hell, but also about overcoming the destructive power of sin in this life and to also complete the meaning of eternal life. Hence, Salvation Then and Now; can be broken into three of it’s kind, past, present, and future of Salvation.
The past Salvation refers to the Justification of the initial act of being saved from the penalty of sin through Faith in Jesus Christ.
Contemporary Salvation is (Sanctification), which involves the current process of being saved from the power of sin daily life. That’s also defined by Holy Spirit’s work to empower oneself to live a life that pleases the Lord and also progressively overcoming the sinful habits. Because this is the real process where believers become more like Jesus Christ.
Similarly, the future Salvation is (Glorification) which means the believers have the ultimate idea of Salvation, including what they might experience in the future.
The sole view of Salvation reveals God’s faithful work throughout every stage of our lives. Justification marks the beginning—where grace meets us and redeems us. Sanctification is the journey—where we grow, are refined, and daily walk closer to Christ. And Glorification is the promised future—where all things will be made new, and we will dwell with Him forever.
Salvation, in this way, helps us live with not only assurance in our past redemption but also in confidence and in our present transformation. Hope in our eternal future is what defines it’s absolute divine process that shows us we are saved, being saved, and will be saved in the future.
Genesis 15:6 – “Abram believed the Lord, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
